Two Harbors Camping. Two Harbors is the tiny community at the northwest end of Catalina Island. It gets its name from the fact that the island narrows and there are harbors on both sides of a narrow isthmus. This location offers tent camping and tent cabins in Two Harbors Campground. You can also choose a small, Catalina Cabin. Camping on Catalina is a unique experience and very different than camping on the mainland. Two Harbors is a highly secluded village located on the west end of the island at the isthmus. From Two Harbors it is just a half mile walk across the isthmus to Cat Harbor. Two Harbors Campground offers two varieties of camping: regular tent camping and unique tent cabins. The campground sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Catalina's Isthmus, just a quarter-mile outside the village of Two Harbors. The campground features 42 individual sites and three group-camping areas.

Important Notice The Safari Bus is no longer in service between Two Harbors and Little Harbor. Little Harbor is accessible by hiking (5.14 miles from Two Harbors) or via the Catalina Island Conservancy’s Wildlands Express shuttle from Avalon.
